|
Cold Heading Quality Wires Cold Heading Quality Wires
are used for the production of fasteners including bolts, nuts,
and screws. Fasteners have traditionally been manufactured by a
hot working method or machining of metals. However, the trend is
moving towards using the cold working process to enhance productivity
and to keep the cost down. Cold heading quality wires, therefore,
possess excellent workability and surface quality for the cold working
process. |

|
Pickling and coating The hot-rolled coil or wire rod
passes through the pickling line, where hydrochloric acid solution
is used to remove surface scale. A lubrication film forms on the
surface to reduce the coefficient of friction in the drawing and
cold working process.
|
| |

|
Intermediate drawing This process produces half-finished
products for the following stage. It improves the ratio of spheroidization
during annealing.
|
| |

|
Spheroidized Annealing This annealing process produces Spheroidized
carbides, which enables cold works. Once inserted into the heat
treatment furnace, it undergoes heating, fissuring and cooling.
|
| |

|
Skin Pass The wire drawing machine produces half-finished
coils to meet the customers' needs in terms of the size and mechanical
properties of products.
